"Honestly, it was just something I've always been passionate about, to keep myself youthful and young and happy in life in general," she says. "I've been up and down in weight at times throughout my life and [I was] just motivated to kind of get myself back together physically — and emotionally too. It's been a whirlwind of a journey, and I just wanted to focus on myself again and have self-love and happiness."

Silva tells In Touch that she made a lot of changes to her diet and exercise routine. She says that she is both eating better and working out more. "I cut out certain things in my life diet-wise," she says. "Less carbs and sugar and stuff like that, and just drinking more water and moving around more, exercising…It's really important to get that meditative time to breathe and focus on yourself and just self-love. Really taking care of yourself."

Silva and her sister notably decided to go to Turkey to have plastic surgery and go on a spiritual journey. "It was one of the best decisions we've ever made and it was for us to feel good and be a better version of ourselves," she told E! News. "It was something we were ready to do. We're in our 40s and things kind of drop when you get older. It lifted our spirits as well. It was definitely a journey we'll never forget. We love the results."

Darcey gets her Vitamin D from the sun. "We each have vitamin D receptor cells that, through a chain of reactions starting with conversion of cholesterol in the skin, produce vitamin D3 when they're exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) from the sun," says Yale Medicine dermatologist David J. Leffell, MD, chief of Dermatologic Surgery, to Yale Medicine.
