Extremely sad and emotional scenes broke out in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during the final funeral rites for Adu Boakye, a Ghanaian who was shot and killed in Canada in February.

Adu Boakye was gunned down while walking by a bus stop at Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue on Feb. 17.

Boakye had moved to Canada to work and support his family back home and had been in the country for only three weeks at the time he was killed.

Following his death, his family spent months procuring visas for his wife and children to attend the funeral.

The emotionally charged funeral saw an exhibition of the depth of the loss the family has suffered as his wife and kids were seen in inconsolable agony over the loss of their breadwinner.
