Joyce Blessing of Zylofon media performed at the S-concert 2017 which had almost all its billed musicians being secular musicians. This has raised the eyebrows of many gospel music lovers and has sparked debates among Christians as to whether it was a good thing for her to perform at that event.
Some have argued that being a gospel or secular musician is an occupation and one can choose to perform at any event provided the money involved is good.

Gospel musician Gifty Osei popularly known as Empress has also added her opinion as to whether it is right or wrong for a gospel musician to join secular musicians to perform at nightclubs or any other out of church event.
The ‘Adom’ hitmaker sharing her view on the matter on Rainbow Radio 87.5 Fm with Sokoo Hemaa Kukua, hinted that Christ came with the sole aim of saving the lost and for that matter, it is not a sin for evangelists and gospel musicians to perform at nightclubs. Doing so will help them win more ‘lost’ souls to Christ.
She continued that, especially in Ghana, we are too quick to judge people whether we know them personally or not without giving them the chance to repent or explain themselves.
‘’You cannot judge people before preaching the word of God to them. If you judge people before preaching the word of God to them, they will not listen to you. Christians are hypocrites”, Gifty Osei fumed!
Gifty Osei admonished Christians to reach out to people in clubs and other odd places to share the word of God with them.
“For me, I don’t see anything wrong with an evangelist preaching the word of God to people in a club,’’ she stressed.
